National Jr. Teen Elite Usa, BayLea Michaela Huffman, is a 14 year old from the Bayou state of Louisiana. She attends a local charter school where she is a freshman and is on the high school dance team. She has two brothers and two sisters. She is the proud owner of two wienee dogs, Mickey and Snoopy, and has a cat named Bella. BayLea is a southern girl who lives in Sportman's Paradise where she proudly deer hunts, loves to fish, and of course eats lots of crawfish.
Baylea started dancing at the age of two at her mom's dance studio where she is now an assistant teacher. She was also a member of Twin City Ballet Company for five years. She loves attending church where she is a part of the 4:12 youth drama team and CONNECT youth group.
BayLea is a big supporter of Teen Community Service. She is very active in the American Cancer Society, Muscular Dystrophy Association, and loves to visit the elderly at local nursing homes.
BayLea would like to attend college and pursue a career in kinesiology/sports medicine. Miss America is one of her future goals so that she can impact the lives of others.
BayLea is very passionate about the Elite USA system. She believes it is truly amazing and has impacted her life in such a short amount of time. The thing she enjoys the most about this organization is that it accepts everyone for who they are and gives every girl an opportunity to shine and feel good about themselves.
BayLea's life motto is: "Life is not about the storm, but learning to dance in the rain." She truly enjoys pageants and knows that winning this title is only a stepping stone to what God has planned for her in the future.
